The LeMoyne-Owen College men's baseball team is arguably the most improved team in the SIAC, and maybe even the whole country. After winning just 3 games last season, the Magicians are now 8-10 through their first 18 games of the season. The job that this coaching staff has done thus far is remarkable. The Magicians haven't won this many games in over four seasons.
The excitement surrounding the program is growing more and more each day. Sophomore Catcher Ibrahim Marrero is making an early case for SIAC player of the year and has already hit 7 Homeruns this season. 3 of those home runs came in the team's latest game vs Clark. The slugger has turned into a fan favorite and one of the most feared hitters in all of the SIAC. His performance against Clark was as good as there was around the conference this week. The Magicians won 8-5 and 5-4 to clinch a come behind win against the Panthers of Clark Atlanta.
The Magicians will return to action this Wednesday at Philander Smith.
