Maudanru L. “Stella” Woodley serves as the Director of Athletics Compliance, Senior Woman Administrator, and Athletics Inclusion Designee at LeMoyne-Owen College. A Memphis native, Woodley brings a thoughtful and service driven approach to leadership while helping strengthen the daily operations and long term vision of the athletics department.

A graduate of DePaul University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 1992, Woodley has built her professional philosophy around integrity and student centered leadership. She was drawn to LeMoyne-Owen College because of its historic legacy, strong community presence, and commitment to developing the whole student athlete. For Woodley, the opportunity represented more than a career move. It was a chance to help shape an environment where students are supported academically and athletically.

Within the athletics department, Woodley plays an important role in compliance, administration and student athlete advocacy. Her leadership style emphasizes preparation and transparency while creating a culture where people feel valued and empowered. She believes the best leaders are those who serve others, build meaningful relationships and create opportunities for growth.

Woodley is passionate about helping student athletes succeed beyond competition. She takes pride in mentoring young people while supporting initiatives that strengthen the structure and operational excellence throughout the department. Her goal is to help elevate the future of LeMoyne-Owen College Athletics while contributing to the institution’s broader mission of holistic student development.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Woodley enjoys music and proudly sings tenor in her church choir. Guided by faith and purpose, she lives by the motto, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable, in Jesus’ name.” Through her leadership and service, Woodley continues to make a meaningful impact within the Magicians community.
