LOC women's volleyball head coach
Tiara Hall will begin her third season at the helm this February and is looking to build on the three win improvement the 2024 Lady Magicians made.
Hall, was once a Magician softball player herself and knows what it takes to be successful in the SIAC. The Magicians were voted to finish dead last in the SIAC West standings this season and had zero players voted to the all-conference team, that has added a little fuel to the fire. Last season the Lady Magicians picked up wins vs Clark Atlanta, Rust College and and Oakwood College. In seven of their losses the game was decided by less than three runs. These are the types of improvements you look for when you are looking to turn a program around.
Each of the last two seasons the team has gotten stronger and have made improvements in their recruiting class. This is the season things are all going to come together for the team, the Lady Magicians will look to mix newcomers with key returners from last seasons team. Among those returners are senior slugger
Ziay Graves who hit four home runs for the Lady Magicians and finished top five in the league in slugger percentage. Graves has emerged into one of the best hitters in the entire conference. Also returning for the Lady Magicians is sophomore short stop
Kelby Harvey who had 31 hits batted in 14 RBI. Harvey is also one of the teams best defenders and playmakers for the team. Pitching is another area where Harvey will be a key player along with returner
Angel Contreaz who delivered all three wins for the team last season.
The Lady Magicians will open their season on February 1st at USA Stadium in Millington, TN where they will be hosting The University of Xavier-Lousiana. The game is scheduled for 12pm.
