After finishing the season with more wins than they've had in more than 20 years, the LOC men's baseball team is making headlines again. This time it's for their summer baseball plans. Jayden Smith, who was selected to the SIAC All-Confernce team as a freshman, will be pitching for the Cincinati Reds later this week in a private workout. Smith is the first Magician freshman in over 25 years to be selected to an all-conference .

Also in the headlines this summer is Magicians home run leader Ibrahim Marero. Marrero has been selected to play in the Northwoods League for this upcoming summer league. The Northwoods league is arguably one of the Top 3 college summer leagues in the nation. Ibrahim has been placed on the Rochester Hornets in Minnesota.

Smith, Marrero, and the rest of the Magicians will look to get back to work this fall and start their journey towards the 2026 SIAC tournament.
