For back to back years the LeMoyne-Owen College men's baseball team has a participant in the HBCU All-Star Game. Last season it was outfielder DeAnthony Baker who represented the Magicians in the prestigious game. This year it's infielder Johnathon Williams.
Williams served as a bright spot on the men's baseball team, playing multiple positions and laying it all out on the line for the team. "Johnathon did a lot of good things for us this seasons and it doesn't surprise me that he was selected", said LOC skipper Johnny Rudd.
Williams tallied 97 seven total catches this season to go along with 38 putouts. He also boasted at .835 Fielding percentage. At the plate Williams had 27 hits and and 16 RBI.
Williams will be returning to LOC for his senior year where he is looking to build on this and help the Magicians be a better baseball team.
