Lady Magicians Come Up Short On Opening Day

Box Score

Although moral victories don't show up on the stat sheet 3rd year head Coach Tiara Hall and her Lady Magicians have several things to be proud of early this season.  The team was extremely competitive in their opening day contest vs Xavier-Louisiana. The team dropped the first game 6-4 and the second 9-7. In both games the team had momentum and a chance to win but came up just short of starting their season in the win column.

"I'm extremely proud of Tiara and the energy surrounding the program right now, I feel like we're on the right path to major success", said athletics director William Anderson.

The Lady Magicians led 3-0 after the second inning and kept that lead until the 4th inning where Xavier would get hot and bring in 4 runs taking a 6-3 lead that they would never surrender.  In the second the two teams went back and forth through out the game but it would be Xavier coming out on top.

The Lady Magicians will take the field again Saturday February 15th at 1:00pm vs UHSP.
