The LOC women's basketball team dropped back to back games on the road this weekend, and have fallen to 1-5 overall.

The Lady Magicians have already battled their fair share of obstacles this season with injuries and the struggles of getting so many new pieces to fit together. On Thursday the team went head to head with Benedict College where they were defeated 62-43. The team struggled to get stops and offensively couldn't quite get into their groove. 

Two days later the Lady Magicians would have a chance to redeem themselves at Allen University. Right from the tip the team struggled, no matter what they tried they just couldn't get stops and also struggled to take care of the ball and get into their offense. The Lady Magicians played both games without pre-season all-conference guard Marley Freeman. Picking up the slack in the absence of Freeman has been returners Janara Williams and Keria McGhee. Both are both averaging double figures right now and leading the Lady Magicians in scoring .

The team will return to action Monday, December 15th on the road at Philander Smith.
