LeMoyne-Owen College junior Slugger
Ziay Graves has proven herself as a power hitter and has emerged on to the season as one of the best hitters in the conference.
Graves is a junior college transfer from Coahoma Community College and was one of the first commitments in the first recruiting class of 2nd year head coach Tiara Hall. Although the Lady Magicians feel as if they have let a few games slip away and are currently in the bottom half of the SIAC west standings, the improvements from years prior is undeniable. The team has scored over 5 runs in more than 8 games this season something they've rarely done in the past.
Ziay Graves is a big reason why. The slugger is top 10 in the SIAC in slugger percentage and has hit 3 home runs this year. She currently leads the Lady Magicians in home runs, RBI and slugging percentage.
Graves and the Lady Magicians are taking things one day at a time and are extremely optimistic about the direction of the program. The team has already won more games this season then they did last year. Less than a week ago they took Spring Hill College to extra innings nearly picking up the biggest win in recent years.
Ziay Graves is arguably one of the best hitters in the conference and will be a name to watch for finishing up the season and heading into the 2025 season.
