Lady Magicians Lose Barn Burner On The Road At XULA

Box Score

For the second time in a week span the LOC women's basketball team was defeated  by the Xavier University Lady Golden Rush.

Although the team didn't get the results they were looking for this time around, they gave themselves a chance to win the game. In the first game the team lost by double figures.

The second time around the Lady Magicians would rally back in the final minutes of the game making things interesting. The team would  turn the ball over on the last play of the game as time expired, losing 50-51.

Poor shooting has been the teams Achilles heel the last couple games, the team shot just 1-16 from the field. Another area of concern for the team has been it's ball security. The Lady Magicians turned it over 30 times.

Junior guard Sierra Lynch led the Lady Magicians in scoring with 9 points, while senior Jess Myers flirted with a triple-double scoring 7 points to go along with 6 steals and 7 rebounds.

This latest loss ends the teams exhibition season,  they will now turn all their attention to their November 11th season opener on the road against Mississippi College.

Last season the Magicians fell to Mississippi College 41-46.
