The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2024-25 Men's Basketball All-SIAC teams and individual honorees on Wednesday, as voted by the conference's head coaches and sports information directors.
Among players selected was 6'9 LeMoyne-Owen College forward
Abdoul Sacko. Sacko was selected to the conferences all freshman team along with Brandon Peters, Miles Holsten, Christian Gray and Rocco Lamuno. Sacko started over half of the teams games and averaged 7.0ppg 5.4 rebounds and 1bpg while shooting %55 percent from the field. The freshman forward started his career with a bang, scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds off the bench in his first game of the season. Sacko came into the season super comfortable with LOC and the coaching staff, considering the forward played for Magicians head coach
Antonio Harris a couple years back at Booker T. Washington.
With his size, shooting touch, and athletisicm the sky is the limit for him. The team will be expecting big things from the talented freshman who will have to feel the void of losing seniors
Kaeden Lawary,
Richard Lowe, and
Philpps Joseph to graduation.
