MEMPHIS, Tenn. — LeMoyne Owen College men's basketball junior guard Gerrard Living has been named to the All-SIAC Preseason Second Team ahead of the 2026-27 season, earning recognition following a productive first season with the Magicians.

The 6-foot-8 Houston, Texas native established himself as a versatile contributor for LeMoyne Owen during the 2025-26 campaign. Living appeared in all 27 games with 12 starts, averaging 8.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game while shooting 42.4 percent from the field, 34.6 percent from three-point range and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line. He finished the season with 225 points and 128 rebounds.

Living's impact was evident throughout the Magicians' lineup. He finished second on the team in total points, made field goals and total rebounds, while his 80-percent mark at the free-throw line ranked second on the team. Defensively, Living also led LeMoyne Owen with nine blocked shots.

The junior reached double figures in scoring nine times last season, highlighted by a season-high 18 points against Central State. One of his strongest all-around performances came against rival Lane College, when he recorded a season-high 12 rebounds, a career-best three steals and his first double-double as a Magician.

Living's preseason selection comes after helping LeMoyne Owen finish the 2025-26 season with a 17-14 overall record, as the Magicians produced their best season in three years under head coach Faragi Phillips.

With his combination of size, shooting ability and rebounding from the guard position, Living enters the new season as one of the Magicians' key returning pieces as LeMoyne Owen looks to continue its climb within the SIAC.

The Magicians will give fans their first look at the 2026-27 squad during Magician Madness on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. inside Bruce-Johnson Hall before hosting Fisk on Oct. 24 for Homecoming.
