LeMoyne-Owen College stand out guard
Khalil Genwright was named to the SIAC All-Conference team.
Genwright was the leading scorer for this years team averaging 16.6ppg 3.8rpg while shooting %52 percent from the field. Last season as a freshman Khalil averaged 5.8ppg and missed a long portion of the season due to a nagging ankle injury. Not many people knew what to expect from the high flyer from Wilmington, North Carolina this season, to say that he put some people on notice would be an understatement. Genwright scored 20 points in 9 games this season including a twelve game stretch where he averaged 20 points and 4 rebounds per game. He finished 7th in the conference in scoring and was selected to the third all-conference team. The Magicians finished 4-24 this season and had they had a better record overall, Genwright may have been named to the first or second team.
The sophmore will look to add to this years success next season and is looking forward to a huge off-season.
