The LOC women's basketball team picked up their 7th win of the season in a 64-46 win over Kentucky State University.
The Lady Magicians have had a roller coaster season, faced plenty adversity and are now hoping this latest victory is what it takes to turn their season around. The team had been riddled with injuries from day one and have a variety of different lineups. However, they have continued to shows signs that can make a deep tournament run come March.
Seniors Nairobi Lewis and Kennedy Fuller led the Lady Magicians in scoring with 12 points each. Also in double figures for the team were back court mates Marley Freeman (11) and Staisha Hamilton(10). The 16 point win margin was the biggest for the team since their January 9th win over Talladega.
The team will return to action this Saturday at home versus rival Lane College. The game will start at 5:30pm at Bruce-Johnson Hall.
