Magicians Lose At The Buzzer As Floater Misses In Final Seconds

Box Score Spring Hill College entered Saturday evening a game 1 game behind Miles College in the SIAC standings. They were 3.5 games ahead of the Magicians who desperately needed this win to gain ground in the standings.

With just under eight minutes remaining in the ball game LOC would lead the ball game 71-63. Over the course of the next 8 minutes poor shooting would haunt the Magicians, who shot just 2-11 from the 3 point range of the evening. Forward's Matthew Spears, Micah Evans, and Byron Hobbs would all have opportunities to tie the game or take the lead in the last couple minutes but would watch their shots bounce off the back of the rim. Spring Hill would go on to win 89-87 In the last two minutes of the ball game, Soring Hill missed 5 free throws leaving the door open for the Magicians who just couldn't get over the hump.
