1-11-2023 vs Arkansas Baptist

The LOC women's basketball team trailed by as many as 16 points in the first half at home versus Arkansas Baptist."We just didn't give up and got stops down the stretch, when you do that you give yourself a chance", said Lady Magicians head coach Antony Partee.

The Lady Magicians rally was led by backcourt mates Heaven Thompson, Sierra Lynch, & Madison Riley. The full court press the team ran created problems all night and forced their opponents into 26 turnovers.

With about 22 seconds left in the game, the Lady Magicians would tie the score and need one more defense stop to extend the game to overtime. Mission, accomplished the team would get the stop and have a chance to win the game, as a floater by Lynch would bounce off the back of the iron as time expired.

In overtime LOC would outscore Arkansas Baptist 9-6 and pick up their 5th win of the season.

Heaven Thompson and Madison Riley scored 11 points a piece while, Kamryn Knight, Gracie Hampton, and Sierra Lynch added 10 points each.
