The LOC women's basketball team played game one of their two game exhibition series with Xavier (La) University, this past weekend in the schools homecoming game. 

The Lady Magicians loss 41-50, shooting just %29 from the field. The team shot just 1-11 from 3pt range. "I thought we missed a lot of shots that were easy opportunities, and we just didn't convert", said head coach Antony Partee.

The Lady Magicians were led in scoring by senior guard Jess Myers, who was the teams only player in double-figures with 10 points.

The good news for the Lady Magicians is that it's still exhibition season, and they have time to get ready for their season opener November 11th vs Delta State.

The Lady Magicians will take the court again November 5th for their rematch against Xavier. 

The game is scheduled to start at 11:00am.
