Lakeria Crowder joined the women’s basketball program in 2016 as an assistant coach. As a previous student athlete, she received a full athletic scholarship which provided her the gateway to prosper and excel in the profession. She earned her Bachelor of Art degree from University of Pikeville, majoring in psychology with a minor in sports. Crowder earned her Master of Science in athletic administration with a concentration in collegiate sports from Coker College. In addition, she is currently working on finishing her Master of Education degree in November. After years of proper training and education, she returned back to Memphis to work in the Shelby County School district as a full time teacher. Over the years, Lakeria has developed specialized skills that helped facilitate and build accomplishments such as: recruiting, planning, game strategy, player development, player personnel, scouting, counseling student athletes in a positive way and monitoring academics of student athletes.
