Magicians Swept On The Road At Edward Waters

The LOC men's baseball team is now 5-4 after being swept in a three game series on the road at Edward Waters.

Edward Waters was the SIAC Champion just a year ago and has arguably been the best team in the league the past couple seasons.  The Magicians haven't had that success in the past but is currently one of the hottest teams in the league under 1st year head coach Brian Young. Playing a team like Edward Waters this early in the season is a good measuring stick for the young Magicians who have one of the youngest teams in the conference.

In the first two games of the series Edward Waters outscored the Magicians by a combined score of 43-9. In the third and final game Edward Waters would win 16-7 and improve to 7-3. For the Magicians they still have a lot to be proud of. They have had contributions from a variety of players and already have multiple guys with home-runs.

The team will have to have a short memory as they prepare for a quick turn around  on the road at Benedict College. The Magicians won't return home to USA Stadium until March 1st where they will host Albany State.
