For the second time this season the LOC Lady Magicians defeated Tougaloo College giving them three straight victories over Tougaloo.
The Lady Magicians played one of their best sets of the season and picked up a win that was good for their team chemistry and morale. That win snapped a six game losing streak and got the team back on the right track. Freshman hitter
Skylar Ivery led the Lady Magicians attack with 19 kills and had two of the biggest blocks of the entire match. Setting Ivery up was
Maddelyn Ross who provided 36 kills for the team and had two blocks of her own on the evening. Other key defensive plays came from the likes of
Malani Duncan who led the team with 3 blocks and freshman
Jayla Jordan who led the team with a match high 28 digs.
It was total team effort for the Lady Magicians who will look to use this win as momentum heading into the last leg of their season. The team will be off until October 24th when they host Spring Hill College in Memphis. This match will be the first one four matches the Lady Magicians will compete in this weekend.
