MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The LOC men's basketball team picked up their first win of the season in a 62-60 victory in front of their home crowd at Bruce-Johnson Hall.
The Magicians have had their fair share of hiccups early this season but are confident a win like this one is just what the team needed. Of the team's five losses 3 of them came by less than 12 points combined. Getting off to a slow start isn't uncommon when you are trying to find the right combinations and new ways to develop cohesiveness and team chemistry with a new team.
The win over Allen gave the Magicians heir first win of the season and also their first win in conference play. Senior forward Richard Lowe led the The team in scoring and rebounding with 15 points and 7 rebounds, while freshman forward Abdul Sacko pitched in with 12 points and rebounds. The Magicians will look to draw closer to .500 in their next game at home vs Benedict College.
