MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Lady Magicians of LeMoyne-Owen College picked up their first win of the season in a home victory vs Talladega College.
The victory was important for the team who has been bitten by the injury bug early this season. They are looking forward to getting a couple key players back in the next few weeks. The team is currently 1-3 and are looking to pick up momentum heading into conference play.
The team outscored Talladega 49-43 after leading 24-20 at halftime. This marked their best defensive performance of the season and gives the team some things to build on. The 43 points that they gave up was the fewest they have given up all season.
Backcourt mates Kennedy Fuller and Mariah Curley led the Lady Magicians in scoring with 8 points each. The team will rerun to action Saturday at home vs. Tougaloo College.
