The LeMoyne-Owen men's basketball team has dropped two consecutive games to Delta State University, giving them three consecutive losses to the Statesmen over the course of the last two seasons. 

In the season opener the Magicians fell 87-73 in front of the home crowd at Bruce-Johnson Hall. The team could never quite get their rhythm in a game in which they never led. The Magicians trailed 42-29 at the half. In the second half they were only outscored by a single point, however that still wasn't enough to mount a comeback. Freshman forward Abdul Sacko led the Magicians scoring scoring attack with 20 points to go along with 6 rebounds. 

Just two nights later the two teams squared off in a rematch that would have the same ending. Although the Magicians loss, they were way more competitive this time around and loss 80-76. Sophomore guard Khalil Genwright scored 25 points to pace the Magicians on the night. 

The Magicians will look to bounce back on November 19th on the road at Talladega.
