The LeMoyne-Owen men's basketball fell to Florida A&M 108-78 on the road in Tallahassee.
Approximately a week prior to the contest with Magicians FAMU loss a contest with Division 2 Albany State in triple overtime. Coming into the game the Magicians felt confident about their chances to pull off the upset.
At halftime the Magicians trailed by just seven points and seemed to be within striking distance. To start the half the Rattlers went on a 7-0 causing the Magicians to burn an early timeout.
The Magicians would cut the lead to as low as ten points but would eventually run out of gas, being out scores by more than 20 points in the second half.
Senior forward Christian Wells led the Magicians in scoring pouring in 25 points to go along with 11 rebounds. Back court mates Tariq Shepherd and Chris Peoples were also in double figures. Shepherd scored 16 points while shooting 2-4 from the point range. Peoples scored 14 points to go along 3 rebounds and 2 assist.
The Magicians will rerun to action in Atlanta Georgia on December 16th in a contest against Morehouse College.
