The LeMoyne-Owen College women's volleyball team is set to kick-off their season September 1st, on the road at Mississippi Valley State University.
The Lady Magicians come into the season excited for a fresh start after finishing 7-26 in the 2022 season. Despite last seasons record the team finished the year winning 3 of their last 6 games. They will look to build on that success this season. The team is returning ten players from last seasons roster, led by senior setter
Kaylyn Harris and power hitter
Lauren Canady.
"We're learning to trust each other and not only play with one another, but also to motivate each other", said Harris.
Head coach
Reginald Morris knows that his team will have their hands full against Division 1 MVSU, however he is very confident in his ball club.
The Lady Magicians will look to combine experience and youth in hopes of pulling off an upset in their season opener. The teams roster includes four freshman who will go along with ten returners and 1 transfer.
"We've worked really hard this pre-season and I'm looking forward to finally get to compete against someone other than ourselves", said Morris.
The Lady Magicians will return home to Bruce-Johnson Hall September 16th where they will host Allen University in their home opener.
