The LOC men and women's tennis teams both finished their season yesterday afternoon against local rival Christian Brothers University.
Both teams were defeated 7-0 and struggled to get points against the aggressive CBU squads.
The two teams struggled all season long and could never quite find their grooves. Both teams finished with the exact same records they did last year. The men finished 1-10 while the women finished their season 3-8.
When head coach Garry Coleman took over just weeks before the start of the season he knew that he had a lot of work to do to get the program back to where it once was. Coleman can think back to when LOC tennis were among the better programs in the conference.
The Magicians will head into the off- season with a nice size check list of things they need to improve by next season. "It was a tough year for us but we're going to keep working and recruiting, we just have to trust the process", said Coach Coleman.
The Magicians will miss post season play this year and will get back to work this fall.
