The LeMoyne-Owen men's basketball team finished their season 18-11 after a second round loss to Benedict College.
The Magicians led by as many as eight points in the first half but would trail 32-39 at halftime. The team would rally back and lead by as many as six points with 2:39 seconds remaining in the ball game.
With 22 seconds left the Magicians were ahead 80-76 after a huge 3point basket by Senior guard Andrew Anderson. Over the course the next 22 seconds missed free-throws and defensive lapses would cost the Magicians.
Benedict college would get the ball with 9 seconds remaining and would go full court and hit a three point basket with just 1.6 seconds remaining. The Magicians would lose by 1 point after half court heave by sophomore Micah Evans would fall short as time expired.
