The Lady Magicians are now 2-0 in exhibition play after defeating Harris-Stowe this past weekend at Bruce-Johnson Hall.
In both of their pre-season games the Lady Magicians have held opponents under 55 points and won each game by more than 20 points. They are giving up just 39.0ppg and have forced 62 turnovers. "Defense has been our identity early, I'm really impressed with how our team has defended thus far", said Lady Magicians head coach
Antony Partee.
LOC took a 38-20 lead into half-time and we're in total control the first half of the ball game. In the second half Harris-Stowe would make a run a cut the lead to as low as 5 points before the Lady Magicians needed a time out. In the final quarter the team would out score the Lady Hornets 21-11 enroute to a 73-52 win.
Germariona Hollingsworth -Pugh scored a game high 18 points and shot 7-13 from the field in 26 minutes of play. Also in double figures for the Lady Magicians was senior guard
Madison Riley who scored 11 points and dished out 6 assist.
