Freshmen Make Big Impact On Cross Country Program

The argument can be made that the LOC cross-country team is the youngest team in all of the SIAC.

More than 90 percent of the Magicians roster is made up of freshmen. When head coach Dr.Rochelle Stevens took over as head coach she wanted to build the program from the ground up, doing so meant bringing in more than 20 fresh faces.

"It's pretty impressive to see what they've been able to do so far this season", said athletic director William Anderson. Both the men's and women's teams have several athletes who are running cross country for the first time.

The Magicians have seen continuous improvement at each meet and will look to continue that trend October 8th, at the Watson Collegiate Invitational.

The meet will begin at 8:00am in Clinton, Mississippi.
