LeMoyne-Owen College men's basketball team defeated Central State University 93-86 Monday night at Bruce-Johnson Hall.
The Magicians are now 9-6 on the season and are winners of their last two contest. The 93 point scoring outing is the most the team has scored in a game all season. In their last two games the Magicians are averaging 89 points and shooting nearly %50 from the field. Senior guard Trevor Blackmon is averaging 19 points and 4 rebounds on 13 of 25 shooting in those games. "I've just been getting in the gym more, playing with confidence and trying to help my teammates out as much as I can", said Blackmon.
In this game Head Coach Bonzi Wells played every player on the roster and showcased how deep of a team he has. Trevor Blackmon(24), Jaquan Lawrence(16), Micah Evans(13) and Tariq Shepherd (10) all scored in double-figures for the Magicians who are now 4-5 in conference play.
The team will take the court again Saturday, January 24th at Tuskegee University. The game is scheduled to begin at 3:30pm.
