The LeMoyne-Owen women's basketball team dropped their second straight game in a 66-52 lost to Fort Valley State University. The 3-4 Lady Magicians struggled offensively shooting 0-8 from three point range, and 22-32 from the free throw line. The Fort Valley women's team hit twelve more field goals,connected on four more three pointers and were led in scoring by junior forward Torri Myers who scored 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
Patricia Lollis led the Lady Magicians in scoring with 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Sophomore guard Tyra Freeman was also in double figures scoring 11 points and converting on five of her six free throws. Prior to the loss the team had won three of their last four games, and were playing their best basketball of this early season.
The Lady Magicians look to get back on track at home Saturday December 11th. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:00pm.
