With their latest victory over Albany State University, the LeMoyne-Owen men's basketball team has pushed their win streak to three games and are currently 3-1 on the season. The Magicians took control of the game early jumping out to a 10-0 lead. Albany State would make a run of their own and close the gap to five points, trailing 35-30 at the break.
The second half was all Magicians, the team led by as many as 20 points in the second half and would eventually win 85-68. In the last two games the Magicians are giving up just 64.5 points per game and making opponents work for every basket. On the offense end, the team had five players in double figures, led by
Trevor Blackmon and
Jaquan Lawrence who scored 17 points a piece. Freshman
Micah Evans added 12 points, while guards
Tariq Shepherd and
Gjerard Wilson chipped in with 10 points each.
The Magicians look to push their win streak to four games today as they take on conference foe Morehouse College at 7pm eastern time, in Forbes Arena.
