Dominique Worthen serves as the Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach at LeMoyne-Owen College, where he leads the program’s continued growth within NCAA Division II competition and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). A Memphis-based entrepreneur, mentor, and lifelong golfer, Worthen combines his passion for the game with a mission to expand opportunities for student-athletes—particularly within the HBCU community.
Before returning to his alma mater, Coach Worthen built a strong reputation in both business and golf. He is the founder and owner of SNKRR BAR, a nationally recognized sneaker restoration brand with locations in Atlanta and Memphis, and Fried Hard Blvd, a lifestyle brand that blends creativity, culture, and entrepreneurship. His leadership in business translates directly to his coaching philosophy: discipline, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship—values that mirror success on and off the course.
A Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and Golf Fitness Specialist (GFS), Worthen brings a holistic approach to athlete development that emphasizes physical performance, mental resilience, and academic accountability. Under his guidance, the LeMoyne-Owen golf program continues to emphasize community engagement, academic excellence, and competitive integrity.
As a student-athlete at LeMoyne-Owen, Worthen made history by becoming the first player in SIAC history to capture SIAC Player of the Year, All-Conference Team, SIAC Championship MVP, and All-Tournament First Team honors—all within the same week. That same season, he went on to win the 2015 PGA Minority Collegiate Championship, further cementing his legacy as one of the program’s most decorated golfers.
Originally from Michigan and now deeply rooted in Memphis, Coach Worthen remains passionate about growing the game of golf among youth and underrepresented communities. Through his leadership, LeMoyne-Owen College continues to emerge as a hub for aspiring golfers seeking excellence both on the course and in the classroom.
