Christopher Anderson

    Christopher Anderson was named Associate Director of Athletics for Academic Support & Student Success on December 1st, 2025. He most recently served as the Assistant Director of Engineering Career Services at the University of Kansas (KU). While at KU, Mr. Anderson served as a campus Wellness Ambassador and was a member of the 2025 KU Staff Fellowship initiative. 
Before his time at KU, Mr. Anderson was hired as an Academic Counselor for student-athletes at Tennessee State University (TSU) in April 2021 and was promoted to Assistant Director of Academic Services in November 2021. While at TSU, he had direct oversight over programs such as Football (Offense), Women’s Basketball, Golf, and Track & Field.

    Mr. Anderson also served as an Athletic Academic Intern at The Ohio State University (OSU) from August 2019 – March 2021. He also served as a Co-Advisor for the Black male student-athlete organization, Redefining Athletic Standards (RAS). Mr. Anderson was also selected to participate in the 2020 NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar. 

    Mr. Anderson has also held positions in career services and academic advising at Georgia State University and Florida A&M University (FAMU). While at FAMU, he developed various professional development programs for student-athletes including their first ever student-athlete career mixer. Mr. Anderson was also nominated for the FAMU Division of Student Affairs Outstanding New Professional award in May 20219. A native of Kansas City, MO., Mr. Anderson was a member of the football program at Emporia State University where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication in 2012. He also earned a Master of Arts in Mass Communication from the University of Central Missouri in 2015.
