Dominique Worthen make SIAC history.
Dominique Worthen was the first player in SIAC history to win the SIAC Player of the Year award, earn a selection to the All Conference Team, along with winning the SIAC Conference Championship MVP award, and a All Tournament First Team award all in one week. Worthen cruised to 8 shot victory after leading by as many as 10 strokes last week shooting a tournament low 224 and posting the lowest score two out of three days.
"This is huge for LeMoyne-Owen college and our golf team, hopefully we can build on this and continue to succeed. I worked as hard as I could leading up to this tournament. I'm a true believer that prayer changes things and hard work always pays off." Dominique said.
Winning the tournament automatically gives him a bid to compete at the NCAA Championship Finals held at the Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kansas.
